Unique Experience in the Samurai Town -Sakura City-

In 2016, Sakura City was certified as a Japanese Heritage under the title of, “Edo tour in Hokuso 4 cities; the Hokuso townscapes where you can feel Edo.” - There are still old and historic buildings in town and you can capture the Edo era atmosphere. Beautiful bamboo forest "Hiyodori Hill"・Inside a real "Samurai Residence"・"Makata Shrine" where samurai's practiced their faith.

Tour Information

The tour will be conducted by a guide who knows all about Sakura city. The original samurai residence where samurai used to live, and a beautiful bamboo pathway that the samurai walked through in "hiyodori hill" is a photogenic place to take a snapshot!

Martial arts experience using bamboo and wooden swords are also very popular.

Tour Information

This year, in addition to the Samural Walking Tour, the "Heart of Zen" will be conducted for a limited time to experience Zen and Japanese Tea Ceremony. In this tour, you can have a cultural experience in the high-rank Japanese style mansion "Hotta Mansion" (National Important Cultural Property) built about 130years ago by the last owner of Sakura Lord. You can also take a walk through the Sakura Garden.
